SmartSteps techniques pave the way to practice growth.

  • With our patented Fixture Mount/Transfer, surgeons can easily take an impression at the time of implantation, providing a head start on the restorative process.2
  • A provisional restoration may be placed earlier, increasing patient acceptance and simplifying the case.
For a complete step-by-step guide, download the Restorative Guide PDF.

Immediate Impression-Taking Technique

  • After implant placement, record a full-arch surgical level impression. Unscrew the transfer from the implant and forward with impression to the laboratory.
  • Place healing screw and suture. During the healing period, the laboratory fabricates the stone model and prepares the final abutment and a provisional prosthesis. If soft tissue levels can be adequately predicted, the restoration coping can also be prepared.
  • After the healing period, place the prepared final abutment using a torque wrench and attach the provisional restoration.
  • After tissue healing, remove the provisional prosthesis from the abutment. Make necessary adjustments to the abutment to correct changes in soft tissue levels. Record a full-arch impression. If a restoration coping was fabricated, place the coping and record a full-arch impression to capture the coping and soft tissue maturation. From this impression, the final restoration is completed.
